COMPOSITE BONDING

Improving the appearance of teeth

Composite Bonding is a procedure that can be used to improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, cracked, discoloured or misaligned. Unlike conventional porcelain veneers, no drilling of the natural teeth is needed. A composite resin, which is matched to the tooth colour, is bonded to a tooth, then shaped and polished to create a natural looking result. Composite bonding can be done in one appointment giving smile changing results in a matter of hours.

Before & After

Before & After

A prefect example of how some composite can be life changing. This patient came to us with two demands. A new smile and QUICK!! She has her wedding all booked and planned and wanted her prefect smile for the perfect day. After a consultation we diagnosed this patient was suffering from severe periodontitis (gum disease) causing bone loss and the black triangles/spaces between her teeth that she wanted gone. After a few sessions with our therapist for some deep cleaning, some brushing and oral hygiene instruction she managed to turn her gums around with no bleeding, stabilising her gum disease. It was then just a case of building up her teeth in one session of composite bonding, to give a uniform, proportionate and natural smile. Right in time for her wedding and honeymoon this month. As you can imagine, a very happy blushing bride, ready for her big day. Happy patient. Happy dentist.

Before & After

This lovely patient attended an Appointment requesting a night guard, as she had always been a tooth grinder. After a thorough examination to check the bite, we determined that there was severe wear to the front teeth from grinding causing irreversible damage. So we suggested using porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges and composite bonding to restore her natural smile and improve the bite.

Before & After

This patient was referred to us by his orthodontist for his small, 'peg-shaped' lateral incisors. Prior to getting his braces we built-up the teeth in just one appointment, to fit in with the patient's smile. The power of composite changing smiles.
